About Us

Why Hart Medical EMS?

Hart Medical EMS provides the very best in medical care at events of all sizes.

Experience

Our company has been in business for over three decades, and we pride ourselves on being the most trusted emergency medical and first aid provider for events in the state of Michigan.

Our track record speaks for itself: When the President and the Vice President visit Detroit, we are the company entrusted with their care, as well as the care of the crowds who line up to see them. We have serviced events where attendance exceeded one million patrons, including the America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the International Freedom Festival Fireworks, the North American International Auto Show, and the Super Bowl NFL Experience.

FACT: Hart Medical EMS has provided consulting and medical services to the Michigan State Fair for the last 13 years.

Professional and Caring Personnel

Hart Medical EMS personnel are highly trained, dedicated, and efficient. Their medical training goes far beyond what is typically required by state licensing: They know the right questions to ask and the correct information to record, so that clients are protected when the unexpected occurs. Our refined and highly accountable system of record keeping is designed to reduce liability for our clients.

Our management and supervisory staff are state-licensed EMS professionals with fire and law enforcement backgrounds. They are highly experienced in all aspects of the administration of large events, and are trained in disaster preparedness and creating evacuation plans.

Hart Medical EMS regularly participates in quality assurance and improvement programs through the Detroit East Medical Control Authority (DEMCA). These reviews ensure compliance with federal, state, and county guidelines and treatment of patients, and represent the highest standard of care.

Specialized Service for Large Events and VIPs

Hart Medical EMS has developed extensive protocols to meet the unique needs of each client and event. Unlike an ambulance service, which simply transports patients to the hospital, we typically treat and release the vast majority of patients without the need for transportation to the hospital.

FACT: At one event, Hart Medical EMS treated over 1,000 patients in less than eight hours. Only 15 patients were sent to the hospital for further treatment.

Through our Entertainment Medical Services division, we also provide medical care to dignitaries, actors, and performers throughout the country. Our clients include promoters, movie producers, talent agencies, and safety coordinators for public figures. We also provide consulting services for large events.

FACT: Hart Medical was the EMS coordinator for the 25th anniversary of Woodstock in New York in 2008, an event that attracted well over half a million people.
